Researchers encounter diverse problems in the progress of their work that necessitates developing new theories to explain the phenomena. A theory is a group of concepts that describe a pattern in reality. The theories can be new ideas or a development of the previous ones to explain the problems encountered. Researchers also use models and conceptual frameworks to explain the processes and events they observe.
